My Background

Hi, my name is Nicola.

After enrolling at North Herts College in 2001 I started my hairdressing journey and have so far loved every minute.

After qualifying with distinctions from college I studied Level 3 advanced Hairdressing as salon-based training in Welwyn Garden City and again, passed with distinctions.

With lots of hard work and dedication I quickly worked my way up to Salon Manager.

After several years I was ready for my next challenge, which was when I became a self-employed freelance hairdresser. I rented space within a Tanning Studio where my Hairdressing business continued to grow as I furthered my training completing Hair Extension courses and also carrying out some teaching / assessing at North Herts. College where it all began for me.

I graduated with a ‘Complete Makeup Artist’ qualification from the world renowned Delamar Academy, a leader in the training of makeup artists, based at Ealing Television and Film Studios. As well as qualifying in Makeup Artistry I furthered my Hair skills carrying out modules in ‘Hollywood Hair’ and ‘Wig Styling / fitting’ and ‘Wig Knotting’.

This led my career down a new path. As an example, I have worked as part of the hair and makeup team on Television light entertainment shows such as ‘Celebrity who wants to be a millionaire’ and the new Davina McColl’s ‘5 Minute’s to a fortune’.

I have worked as a Hair Stylist for the West End’s Mamma Mia. My recent full time role as Wigs Assistant and Makeup Artist on Rock of Ages, also in London’s West End has come to an end as the show has ended its contract on the stage.

My newest challenge is The Dressing Room, my team share my passion and we hope to bring some West End glamour to Stevenage and see you on the red carpet soon...
